The year of 2019 was definitely the year of foldable smartphones. Samsung, Huawei, and Xiaomi already made them available for their users. But have you ever thought about who has the best foldable phone? We’re here to tell you.
Best Folding Smartphones of 2019 That You Can Buy
Samsung Galaxy Fold
This is the first foldable phone from Samsung. They presented it on the 20th of February, 2019.
The phone has two separate screens: a 7.3-inch foldable screen that folds out just like a book, and a 4.6-inch external display, that has a 21:9 aspect ratio. Its design is different than what we’ve had so far. This one is protected by the case when it’s closed.
It has the Snapdragon 855, and it has 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. The battery? A 4,380 mAh battery, which is also divided into two parts because of the design.
Samsung has made a partnership with Google to make the experience better, especially when it comes to multitasking. You can use up to three apps at once. The price is $1,980. We know it sounds a bit too much, but Samsung stated that they had already sold more than one million phones. There is also a 5G version, which is available for the price of $2,299.99.
Xiaomi Mi Flex
This is the newest folding smartphone out there. The first model presented to the public shows that the display can be bent in two sides.
So instead of folding the phone to half its size, this phone can be folded outwards, on the right and left sides. This transforms the device into a compact smartphone, and it gives it a square look. The foldable phone is set to cost $999.
Huawei Mate X
This one was presented to the public at 2019’s Mobile World Congress, and it was the second one, after Samsung. The phone has a single display, which can be bent outwards, but differently than the Galaxy Fold.
This foldable phone comes with a 6.6-inch display when it’s closed. When you fully open it, the Mate X comes with access to an 8-inch screen. When it’s folded, it resembles a 6.6-inch smartphone. The camera, the buttons, and the connectors are placed in a side panel, which serves as a handle as well. It also has a 5G connectivity.
