Best TikTok Tips for Beginners – Part 3

There’s no doubt that TikTok is one of the best apps out there right now. A lot of people use it to create their own videos. They dance, do duets, react to different videos. Everyone is free to be themselves.

But did you know that it might be a bit complicated at first? We are here to give you the best tips when it comes to using the app. Here’s the third part of our series of TikTok tips and tricks.

How to create a TikTok video

From the menu bar, you need to go to Create video. Then, adjust your preferences on the Camera screen. For example, the direction of the camera. Keep in mind that you can enable beauty mode, and add filters and effects, and also change the speed.

Then, you need to select the length of the clips that you want to record. You can do that from the bottom of the Camera screen. It’s either 15 seconds or 60 seconds. Keep in mind that you can also choose a photo template and record with it. And don’t forget about filters and effects.

When you are ready to do it, rap and hold the Record button. If you do release it, it would still film. If you want it to stop filming, you need to tap on it again.

You could also tap on Create video on the Camera Screen to upload photos or videos to edit them. When you’re done, press on the Checkmark button. You’ll see a preview screen – you can add sounds, effects, texts and stickers here.

When you’re done editing your TikTok video, tap Next. You’ll get to the Post screen. You will add your description, hashtags and even tag friends. You can then disable the comments and choose who can see your posts.

Don’t forget that you can disable duet or react and saves options. Then hit Post to share it. If you want to save your TikTok, you need to press on Drafts.

How to change the speed of your video

You can record at .3x, .5x, 1x, 2x, or 3x speed.

From the menu bar, you need to go to Create video. Then, tap and hold the record button in order to start filming. Then, press on the Checkmark button when done recording. You’ll see a preview screen – you can add sounds, effects, texts and stickers here.  Also, the slow-mo effect is available here. When you’re done editing your TikTok video, tap Next. You’ll get to the Post screen. Hit Post.

How to add a beauty filter to your video

From the menu bar, you need to go to Create video. Then, tap the Beauty button from the right. When you are ready to do it, rap and hold the Record button. Then, press on the Checkmark button when done recording. You’ll see a preview screen – you can add sounds, effects, texts and stickers here. When you’re done editing your TikTok video, tap Next. You’ll get to the Post screen. Hit Post.

How to add filters to your video

From the menu bar, you need to go to Create video. Then, tap the Filter button from the right. When you are ready to do it, rap and hold the Record button. Then, press on the Checkmark button when done recording. You’ll see a preview screen – you can add sounds, effects, texts and stickers here. When you’re done editing your TikTok video, tap Next. You’ll get to the Post screen. Hit Post.
