Larian Studios gave many “gift bags” to players this year, and each and every gift bag had a free in-game feature of Divinity: Original Sin 2. The third gift bag was called “Order & Magic,” and arrived just this week. It comes with new convenience features that you can turn off if you don’t like them from the menu of the game.
Which are the features?
Combat Randomizer: when you enter combat, one or even more random enemies will get one of the new special statuses, which were created especially for this feature.
Pet power: you can cast infusion spells on all of the available summonses, and not just to your own Incarnate.
Improved Organisation: you get a collection of special bags that allow you to organize your inventory in a better way.
Nine Lives: you get to transform the Black Cat into a follower. Once you rescue her, a whistle appears in your inventory, and you can use it in case the cat gets lost, or you want to change who the pet follows.
Hagglers: the skills and reputation of the whole group can help you in getting the best prices. You don’t actually need to start a conversation here.
Sorcerous Sundries: there’s a new vendor in every major hub which sells artifacts that can upgrade the gear of characters.
Many of these features are meant to help you in the game, but we think that Improved Organization is really an amazing feature. You don’t have to organize the keys manually into a certain inventory bag, the books in another bag, each which icons that help you in naming which one’s which so you don’t get them mixed up. Your inventory won’t be cluttered anymore, and it would be easier for you to play the game.
