Google brought us a wonderful service way back in 2001 when it released Google Earth. Developed for being able to virtually explore pretty much all places from the planet, Google Earth is an excellent choice for those who are willing to see cities, buildings, and various other places. Furthermore, Google Earth allows the user to see plenty of nearby stars in more detail.
But getting the Pro version of Google Earth can be a little tricky if you never did it before. That’s why we’re here to help.
Two options
Google has greatly simplified the download process of its app, and that’s great news for anybody. First of all, you must go to https://www.google.com/earth/versions/. You’ll see a big blue button that says ‘Launch Earth’. You can select it if you want the basic version of Google Earth, but we recommend downloading the Pro version because it’s better.
For the second case, scroll down until you see the heading that says ‘Create maps with advanced tools’. Bellow that heading and a paragraph, you’ll see the option ‘Download Earth Pro on desktop’. By the way, the paragraph is very conclusive for what Google Earth has to offer:
“Google Earth Pro on desktop is free for users with advanced feature needs. Import and export GIS data, and go back in time with historical imagery. Available on PC, Mac, or Linux.”
The next obvious step that you’ll be confronted with when you want to install any software is to agree to the terms. Google will ask you for your agreement regarding the program’s privacy policy. You can note the checkbox for allowing Google to send reports about your activity, but you should also be able to refuse.
That’s pretty much all you need to know before installing Google Earth Pro on your computer. We hope that you’ll enjoy the program!
