Fortnite Doomsday Event: We Have the New Release Date

We have recently learned that the Fortnite Doomsday event would be a huge deal for gamers. However, we would not get it until early JuneThere have been some changes made in the schedule at the last minute. Epic Games wanted to release the event on May 30, 2020, on Saturday, but they changed the plan. They did it for the launch of Season 3.  

So when is the new release date?

The release date for the Fortnite Doomsday event has been moved to June 11, 2020, on a Saturday, a week later than theinitially announced. They have also chosen an official name for the event – they named it The Device. The team behind the game has confirmed the fact that the next Fortnite event time has been set at 2:00 PM ET. This actually means that the gamers in the UK will get their hands on the event at 7:00 PM GMT on the same day. 

This event is unique

The company has stated that the event will not happen again, and they advised gamers to get into the servers about 30 minutes before the event starts.  

The official message from the team behind the game

This is what they have to say about the event: “Hey everyone, In an effort to get everything ready for Chapter 2 – Season 3, we’re extending Season 2 by one week. The new launch day of Season 3 will be Thursday, June 11. Also, make sure to check out a one-time-only live event called The Device, now scheduled for Saturday, June 6 at 2 PM ET (please show up 30 minutes early to help secure your spot, space is limited!).
