Epic Games has finally confirmed that drivable cars are coming to Fortnite in August. The car update will be launched soon after we got numerous announcements and even a delay. They teased the new feature as part of the Season 3 launch, but the company had to push back the release because of some technical problems which are not known to us. But it seems that they are all solved now.
The new vehicles will come on the 5th of August with a patch. We know that one of the cars is called Whiplash – the developer of the game said about this name that it is not ordinarily choose, but that it is actually a warning.
So when are we getting the cars?
This big update is supposed to happen on the 5th of August 2020 on all platforms. The Joy Ride Update will happen at the same time for everyone, on PS4, Xbox One, PC, Mobile, and Nintendo Switch. If we are to take into account the previous update times, this one might come around 9 am BST.
We believe that we are getting about 4 drivable cars with the new update. So we already know we have the Whiplash – the warning. There is also a hatchback called Prevalent, a retro pickup called Bear, and a big semi called Mudflap. We are sure that each and every one of them has different pros and cons, and we cannot wait to see their take on speed, attack damage, and maneuverability.
Fortnite is an online video game that was developed by Epic Games, and it was released back in 2017. It has three game mode versions available that share the same general gameplay: Fortnite: Save the World, Fortnite Battle Royale, and Fortnite Creative.
