Samsung has started releasing the Android 10 update for the Galaxy Fold. The new roll-out comes with the tech giant’s One UI 2.1, but owners of the $2,000 smartphone that had to wait for a while in order to get the latest OS weren’t very pleased with the waiting period. Still, the update is finally rolling out, and all of them should get the most recent version of Android in a few weeks.
The Galaxy Fold software that’s coming out today is only meant for the 4G version of the smartphone. The Galaxy Fold 5G should also get Android 10 in one of the following days. Samsung has now confirmed that although some of the best Galaxy S20 features will be rolled out to the Galaxy Fold, they are not included in this particular update.
The Best Galaxy S20 Features, Available Starting With April
Samsung has incorporated plenty of new features in the Galaxy S20 series, such as Night Hyperlapse, Pro mode for video, and Music Share. Another great feature is Single Talks, which was also introduced with the Galaxy S20, able to capture a mix of images and videos from which you can choose.
The tech giant rolled out an update yesterday in order to include these features into the Galaxy Note 10 and the Galaxy S10. Still, these functionalities are not comprised in the update that has been released for the Galaxy Fold. It does come with a handful of new features, such as enhanced Night Mode, Quick Crop, Quick Share, and Clean View, though, as it includes the One UI 2.1.
Samsung has announced that these great features introduced with the Galaxy S20 will be rolled out to the Galaxy Fold through an individual firmware update by the end of April. Even though this update doesn’t bring the features, it is great to have a confirmation that they are on the way to the Galaxy Fold.
