The new Pixel 4a could even oust the iPhone SE for the title of the best cheap smartphone, as per Stephen Hall of 9to5Google, which announced the smartphone’s possible price could be $349. Hall revealed the information on Twitter as well as on the Alphabet Scoop podcast, putting the Pixel 4a in the position of the budget smartphone to beat.

The rumor says there is a $50 gap between Apple‘s newly-released iPhone Se and Google‘s upcoming Pixel 4a, but it also claims that the basic Pixel model will come with 128GB storage. This is twice as much as the iPhone SE’s regular 64GB model.
Pixel 4a’s Rumored Specs
According to earlier leaks, the Pixel 4a will pack some more advantages over the iPhone SE. It will allegedly sport a 5.8-inch OLED display, which will stunt the 4.7-inch Retina screen on the iPhone SE. Moreover, Google’s phone won’t feature large bezels.
The Pixel 4a will also feature a 3,080mAh battery, as per reports, which is a lot larger than the 1,821mAh in Apple’s phone. The previous Pixel 3a‘s 3,000mAh battery has a life span of almost 12 hours on a web surfing test, while the iPhone SE’s battery life lasts around nine hours.
However, when it comes to power, the iPhone SE might outperform the Pixel 4a’s Snapdragon 730 SoC. The most interesting battle to see between these two smartphones, though, should be the camera setup. The iPhone SE performed very well in web tests, but it has no Night Side mode for low-light captures that Google’s phone should feature. This could be the Pixel 4a’s secret weapon against Apple.
The Pixel 4a is expected to be revealed in June.
