GTA 5 Is Now Free on the Epic Games Store, so Servers Are Down

Epic Games Store is flooding with people. The most excellent game out there, GTA 5, is free to download.

GTA 5 is a massive deal for Rockstar Games, and it has been since it was released, back in 2013. GTA 5 is free to download, and it is all yours.

This deal has seen tremendous levels of traffic to the Epic Games Store, and there were also rumors that the marketplace would be down. All the users affected got a server error 500 messages when they tried it to gain access to the Epic Games Store.

The deal went live at 4pm BST, which is when the Epic Games Store server started to have problems. The server issues were also confirmed by the official Epic Games Store Twitter account. They then posted: “We are currently experiencing high traffic on the Epic Games Store. We are aware that users may be encountering slow loading times, 500 errors, or launcher crashing at this time, and we are actively working to scale. We’ll provide an update as soon as we can.”

The GTA 5 game also comes with the return of the Epic Games Mega Sale. The significant titles on this Mega Sale are Control, The Outer Worlds, Red Dead Redemption 2, and Borderlands 3. If you still have problems getting access to the Epic Games Store, then don’t worry, because you will be able to get the game soon. The offer is available until 4pm BST on the 21st of May, on Thursday.
