How to Get The Witcher 3 on Your PC for Free

The Witcher 3 normally costs 29.99 euros on Steam, but you can get the game running on your PC for free. All you have to do is to own a copy of the role-playing title on either PlayStation 4 or Xbox One.

The PC version of The Wither 3 is significantly better than those for consoles. Besides the superior resolution and framerates, on a PC you can always select numerous downloadable mods made by the fans. Of course, not everyone resonates with the idea of adding mods to a game, but it can be a good choice if you’re looking for more diversity.

Dead end: June 23

If you want to get your hands on the free copy of The Witcher 3 for PC, you must head over to the official website of the GOG Galaxy game library app. But you must hurry up and make up your mind if you want a copy of the game, as the offer expires on June 23 at 7 AM ET.

If you’re still not convinced that The Witcher 3 is worth playing, here’s what its Steam page has to say:

“The Witcher: Wild Hunt is a story-driven open world RPG set in a visually stunning fantasy universe full of meaningful choices and impactful consequences. In The Witcher, you play as professional monster hunter Geralt of Rivia tasked with finding a child of prophecy in a vast open world rich with merchant cities, pirate islands, dangerous mountain passes, and forgotten caverns to explore.”

Also, you must not overlook the system requirements that The Witcher 3 has. The same Steam page reveals that the game requires 8GB of RAM, an Intel CPU Core i7 3770 of 3.4 GHz or AMD CPU AMD FX-8350 of 4 GHz, and an Nvidia GPU GeForce GTX 770 or AMD GPU Radeon R9 290 for the video card. These are the recommended requirements, and they surely are notable for a game released five years ago.
