Rumors suggested that Sony will be holding a significant PS5 event next week, which might finally reveal the price of the PS5, alongside preorders and release date.
PS5 fans were under suspense for a lot of time until more details about the PS5 are released, but the wait might be over soon.
Thankfully, Sony confirmed that news on September 12.
The upcoming PS5 event will happen on September 16 at 9 pm BST, ant the console showcase will last for about 40 minutes.
Past leaks suggested that the event would happen on Monday, September 14, but it appears that Sony might have chosen to push back that date.
Could the event be the response to the abundance of information about the Xbox Series X and S that was released recently? Many members of the gaming community appear to believe so.
That idea goes even further as some believe that the Xbox announcements might have impacted Sony’s reveal plans for the PS5.
However, that might not be the case, as such an event was highly anticipated. Many leakers like Dusk Golem and Tidux hinted towards an early September event.
Apart from possibly displaying the PS5’s price, heavily rumored games are expected, like the Silent Hill reboot and even Final Fantasy 16.
Preorders for the Series X and Series S start on September 22, so it wouldn’t be unexpected to see the company make a big announcement to tempt those who were set on preordering and purchasing a Microsoft console to switch to Sony.
After all, business is business, and the gaming industry is one of the most advanced and extensive ones!
