As it usually happens with the releases of Apple’s latest iPhones, there are rumors all over the internet before it happens, and now we know more about the design. And thanks to the leaks, here’s all we know so far about the four versions of the iPhone 12.
Macotakara has got its hands on plastic dummy units, and both of them are confirmed. We have learned more about all the rumors we have heard in the past weeks. We are sure that the iPhone 12 device will be better than iPhone 11 when it comes to the camera, but it might not be as spectacular as we all expected.
According to some recent rumors, the iPhone 12 Pro will come with a LiDAR depth sensor in order to give us an improved AR experience. However, the dummy models show that the Pro will come with a similar three-lens setup as we see in iPhone 11 Pro, and the LiDAR sensor is nowhere to be found. But we are still waiting for the three lenses to add significantly improved autofocus and optical zoom.
Also, the notch won’t see the big size reduction that we all expected. Turns out, it won’t be a reduction, after all. The device is identical to the iPhone 11 when it comes to the notch.
However, if you’re a fan of the smaller phones, we have great news for you. The dummy models show the introduction of a small, 5.4-inch base model. Your dreams can come true now.
There will also be four devices: iPhone 12 – of 5.4-inch, iPhone 12 Max – of 6.1-inch, iPhone 12 Pro – of 6.1-inch, and iPhone 12 Pro Max – of 6.7-inch.
So when is the release date?
According to some sources, the delays won’t make the traditional September launch possible, but we will get it this year.
