We have heard in the past that iPhone 9, or iPhone SE 2 will cost around $399. This will be the cheapest model from Apple, and the company plans to release it on the 15th of April, 2020. But all of these are only rumors for now, and none of it has proof behind.
We have also heard that iPhone 9 will be launched in March. Then, the next date that we heard of was the 31st of March. Then, it as the 5th of April. That did not happen, either. The latest reports suggest that the release date will be on the 15th of April.
We also don’t know the name of it. Will it be the iPhone 9? We do not even know. Will it be iPhone SE 2? Or iPhone SE 2020?
So when is the release date?
For now, we have on the 15th of April. But until then, let us remind you of the specs and the design of the new phone. Some of these are still rumors.
Will there be more variants?
Rumors have it there will be two phones, iPhone 9 and iPhone 9 Plus. iPhone 9 will come with a screen size of 4.7 inches, and the iPhone 9 Plus might have a 5.4-inch screen.
What about the price?
The new iPhone will have its price of $399. That’s around Rs 30,000. However, Apple marks up the dollar by taking into account the rupees, so if the price is indeed $399, then in India, it might cost around Rs 36,000 to Rs 40,000. The budget phone will still compete with other budget phones, like the ones from Samsung.
Specs
The phone is rumored to have an A13 Bionic chip. This is the latest chipset, which can also be found in the newest phones, the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max.
