Location and Release Date for The Elder Scrolls 6 Announced? Latest News

The latest release from The Elder Scrolls series happened last year in March, and fans are already waiting for a sequel. With about 26 years of history since its first release in 1994, The Elder Scrolls remains a very successful open-world game series. Developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks, The Elder Scrolls is expected to be enhanced in the near future with the sixth installment.

We do have an official teaser for The Elder Scrolls 6, released in June 2018, but we don’t know for sure when the game will arrive and nor the location for the gameplay. A recent rumor coming from Reddit was claiming a 2025 release, and fans have been speculating about the location after seeing the official footage, but one thing’s for sure: there’s no evidence for supporting those claims. Therefore, we can consider them redundant.

What do we know

Although Bethesda has been very silent about its future game, we can still rely on an interview with game director Todd Howard made last year. He said that the Elder Scrolls 6 will be bigger than The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, which is a good hint of trying to guess where the location might be.

Also, The Elder Scrolls 6 is not launching until after Starfield, which is Bethesda’s next big project. Starfield also has no release date and has a teaser trailer.

The upcoming Elder Scrolls game is expected to be available for the usual platforms (PC, Xbox One, and PS4), but it’s highly probable that the next-generation consoles from Sony and Microsoft will also be compatible. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X will land on the market during holidays this year if it all goes according to the plan. They are far superior to their predecessors (Xbox One and PS4), and backward compatibility should be implemented.
