SpaceX Aims To Launch 60 Starlink Satellites Today After A Failed Liftoff On Sunday

SpaceX was planning to send 60 Starlink satellites into our planet’s orbit on March 15, 2020. However, the Falcon 9 rocket that was supposed to carry the satellites had some engineering issues, and the mission was aborted. Now, SpaceX aims for a successful launch today, Wednesday.

SpaceX Falcon 9 launch aborted before liftoff on Sunday

The Falcon 9 rocket was scheduled to launch on Sunday morning, but it looks like the aerospace manufacturer and space transportation services company has to postpone their plans. Just before the Falcon 9 rocket was ready for takeoff, the team has discovered a problem at the engine power that put the mission to a stop.

The launch mission of the rocket was put to an end at the last minute, right after the launch countdown. The Falcon 9 rocket was supposed to liftoff from the NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. However, SpaceX’s plan to grow a broadband mega-constellation is going to be delayed.

“We had a condition regarding engine power that caused us to abort today’s launch,” explained Michael Andrews, the supply chain supervisor. “There are a thousand ways for a launch to go wrong and only one way it could go right,” he added.

SpaceX Falcon 9 to deploy 60 Starlink satellite today

The launch would be the sixth launch of the SpaceX’s Starlink project. The company has already launched over 100 satellites into space. Their big plan is to provide the world with the best and most advanced internet system.

The Falcon 9 rocket had done a great job the past four times when it carried the Starlink satellites into space. The rocket would have also marked the first rocket of the SpaceX company to have had its fifth mission. However, with the engine problem, the rocket failed to finish its task right before it started. Today’s launch would take place at 8:16 EDT (12:16 GMT).

New Hack Allows Huawei Users to Get the Google Play Store on The Device

0

It is already widely known that the new Huawei mobile devices, as well as the Honor smartphones, are now launching without built-in Google apps because of the ban the U.S. issued for the Chinese tech giant.

For instance, the new Huawei Mate 30 Pro and Honor 9X were both released without them. However, it seems like a new hack has been found, which gets users of those brands’ devices to use the Google Play Store.

New Hack Makes Huawei Work Like Before

The hack was discovered by the Technobaboy blog, and although it is obviously not an official way of getting the Google apps, it does seem to function. Several reports stated that the method works successfully in both devices.

Since the Huawei ban caused both Huawei and Honor smartphone to launch without the Google Mobile Services (GMS), rather featuring Huawei Mobile Services (HMS), which didn’t have as many popular apps as the GMS, it appeared that fewer people would purchase the smartphones. That would be such a shame, because the tech giant launched some incredible phones, especially for photography fandoms.

The new solution, though, offers the amazing Huawei hardware a fresh approach to use. Google recommends users to avoid side-loading its applications onto any device that hasn’t been run through its own security screening process.

As Huawei and Honor’s new smartphones have not been considered for this process, any side-loaded Google applications might not be reliable, and might also get no updates, which would cause security problems in the long term.

This is not an official method, so if you want to do it, assume the risks that come with it. Still, before proceeding to the installation, make sure to back up your device.

How to Install Google Play Store on a Huawei smartphone

To perform this hack, you need to download an app called ‘Chat Partner,’ which you can find via an APK here.

  • Launch the app after it is installed
  • Instead of logging in, find the option ‘Detect Device’
  • Tap on this button, and a new menu will appear
  • The menu will scan your device, and notify you that there are no Google apps
  • Select ‘Repair Now’ and ‘Activate’ in the following menu
  • The app should then install the Google Play Store for you

Some users have reported they had to restart the smartphone in order to see the Google Play Store among the apps, but some were able to use it immediately. To use it, you need to sign in as you’d usually do with a Google account to have access to the apps.

We should note, however, that the Google Play Store was reported to sometimes crash, but overall, it works just fine. While the service is running, you can get all the apps you want, as well as new updates. It also allows you to sign in, which is important as users have already tried importing Google apps into Huawei phones, but which were useless because they couldn’t sign in.

With this new hack, your Huawei or Honor smartphone should function as it would have done if Google wasn’t restricted from collaborating with the Chinese tech giant. Again, this hack could be detected by either Google or Huawei, stopping it, so do it at your own risk.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is the Best Game in the Series

0

The latest build of Animal Crossing showcases a zen-like charm that launched the franchise to success back in 2001, while masterfully featuring in a modern game to keep the series fresh even after 19 years since it released.

Animal Crossing first launched on the Nintendo 64 in Japan with a simple gameplay: collect money for performing small tasks to pay off your mortgage. The game reached amazing success and made it to the remaining countries of the globe on the GameCube.

Nintendo has avoided adding features to the series, mainly because it wanted the series’ formula to remain the same, but things have changed with the new sequel, Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

A Deserted Island Life

As the main character is now located on a deserted island, even the classical gameplay elements from all the other games needed to be created from scratch. In the new sequel, the narrative starts in Tom Nook’s ‘Resident services’ tent.

Everything in the title seems to obey this original formula of Animal Crossing: you start at the base level, and as you play, things become easier, and more upgrades appear. Aside from the amazing soundtrack, the settings sound immerse you deeper into the game, such as the waves crashing when you stand close to the ocean, and so on.

Crafting

Although you can purchase a lot of things in the game, a significant area of it now focuses on crafting your own tools and furniture. This is a change made to he old formula. If you manage to craft all the tasks efficiently, you can have a handful of tools by the first or second day of play. The tools break quickly in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, so it is indicated that you get upgrade recipes as soon as possible.

Although crafting might be a bothersome task for some long-time players of the series, it is rather fun and helps you branch out what you are doing in the game as you play it. You can get ‘Crafting Recipes’ in a few ways during the new game, and as you play, you can unlock more and more recipes, buy them or collect them from interesting places.

The Best Designed Animal Crossing Yet

This is the first time that one of the games in the series has been launched on high-definition capable console and the graphics are now at an advantage because of the Switch’s enhanced processing power.

This time, everything comes with a shadow, and there are numerous tiny details that make the game feel exciting and fun. Everything benefits from the enhanced graphics, but the bugs might have gotten the most important redesign. All the insects are crafted in great detail, walking or flying in a realistic manner, rather than just showing up on a tree or a flower, like in the previous sequels of the franchise.

Moreover, in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you can place your furniture outside, which gives the house a more intricate and homie look. When taking a step back to look at the new title that Nintendo has launched, we can definitely say that it is the best sequel yet in the series.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is scheduled for launch on the Nintendo Switch on March 20th, 2020.

Hayabusa-2’s Camera Depicts Ryugu as Being Porous Inside

0

The already famed asteroid Ryugu has a reportedly porous inner structure, as per analyses made by the Hayabusa-2 probe that landed on the space rock. The mission is led by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), and the new report has been published in the online edition of the U.K. science journal Nature on March 17th.

Tatsuaki Okada, an associate professor at JAXA, explained that the structure is ‘like instant coffee that crushes into fine pieces when picked up.’ The team leading the research analyzed the surface temperature of the asteroid between June and October 2018 utilizing an infrared camera attached on the Hayabusa-2.

During day time, the temperatures reached as high as 60 degrees Celsius (140 degrees Fahrenheit), and at night, they dropped to about -50 degrees Celsius (-58 degrees Fahrenheit).

Ryugu Formed As Rocks From Other Cosmic Bodies Mixed

Japanese researchers observed how Ryugu collects and emits the Sun‘s heat from its surface, taking into consideration its shape. They discovered that it is comprised of elements that make it incredibly easy for the space object to heat up and also cool down. This implies that boulders and other types of materials covering its surface, are of low density and have numerous holes, as per the team.

Current research has unveiled the fact that the asteroid has formed after rocks and other materials coming from crashed small celestial bodies merged. Because the surface of Ryugu is almost all coated in porous rocks and other kinds of materials, the team of scientists now theorize that the cosmic object Ryugu formed from was also porous.

Researchers also stated that there is a chance that as the Solar System started to form about 4.6 billion years ago because of all that dust and gas merging, the structure of asteroids like Ryugu showcase the fact that they were in the process of developing into more solid bodies, just like Earth.

Google Play Store App Submissions Delayed For Seven Days or More

0

Tech giant Google has warned developers registered on its Play Store platform that app reviews might take a few days, more precisely, seven or more because of the work schedule adjustments currently taking place at the company.

This means that new app submissions will be delayed for seven days or more, and even a number of updates might take longer to roll out if they happen to set off a manual review.

Back in 2019, Google widely advised a ‘buffer period’ of a minimum of three days for developers to plan for, but it later updated its Play Console documentation to mention the fact that app reviews can take about seven days or more in unusual cases. Those exceptional times being this period that we now go through, a seven days window has allegedly been extended to all app reviews.

Google Developers Should Factor the Extra Delays Into Their Planning

We should, however, mention the fact that Google is not completely clear about what exactly triggers an app review. Even though all new application submissions are requested to have one, updates for certain categories of apps, such as those targeting children, also set off a manual review.

Still, at times, app updates to be found in other innocuous labels have known for a while to trigger reviews, and there is no apparent rhyme or cause. Numerous users and portals have reached out to Google for more details on the issue, but until the tech giant released a statement, developers were advised to factor the additional delays into their planning.

A Google representative released, not long ago, the following statement:

“Due to adjusted work schedules at this time, we are currently experiencing longer than usual review times. While the situation is currently evolving, app review times may fluctuate and may take seven days or longer.”
