PS5 vs. Xbox Series X: More Pressure is Being Put on Sony

We’re only several months until the release of both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X consoles, and we can easily count the days left before the huge moment. It will be the most important period in the history of gaming for a lot of people. And there’s no wonder why: PS5 and Xbox Series X will be the best consoles ever made.

There’s a tremendous battle for supremacy looming since everybody is wondering which one of the two upcoming next-gen consoles will be better.

The Xbox team has two next-gen models in the works

On the other hand, Sony has only one model, and this automatically adds pressure to the Japanese company. One of Microsoft’s models is the Xbox Series X, which has already been presented. The other one is the rumored Lockhart console, some kind of a ‘mini’ Series X console.

The Lockhart console is expected to value about the half of Xbox Series X’s price, which means that Microsoft has a huge advantage in front of Sony.

The YouTube account for Xbox said:

“Hearing that Microsoft will share Lockhart details for the first time, soon.

“Should give insight into Xbox’s multi Sku approach to the next generation.

“Remember, this console with 4TF Navi GPU & Zen CPU is entry model & overall better than X1-X today. Around $300. #xbox”.

Microsoft’s Xbox Series X is expected to be one hell of a console. Scheduled for launch during Holiday along with PS5, the Series X console will be featuring the following specs:

  • Processor: 8-core, 3.8-GHz AMD Zen 2
  • GPU: 12 teraflop AMD RDNA 2
  • RAM: 16GB GDDR6
  • Storage: 1TB custom NVMe SSD

It’s exciting to imagine if Sony will come up with something more in order to keep up with what Microsoft is preparing. Did you write that letter to Santa Claus?
