Samsung Galaxy S11, the entire series, as a matter of fact, will probably get its announcement somewhere in February, but that doesn’t mean that we haven’t seen a lot of leaks and rumors out there on the internet. We have somewhat of an idea about the next flagship from Samsung.
The latest entry comes from China’s 3C agency, which showed that Galaxy S11 – number SM-G9860 – will get the 5G capabilities and also a 25W fast charger, too. This phone is the successor of this year’s Galaxy S10, which had the model number SM-G9730 in China.
The fast charger is something more than what we were used to, the 15W charger, which was supported on the S10 series. But we cannot say that it hit Note10+, which comes with a 45W charger.
It was confirmed that we will get the 120Hz refresh rate screen for the S11 series of phones. Rumors showed that the S11 series will also get either Exynos 9830 or Snapdragon 865 chipsets – it really depends on the region, the UFS 3.0 storage, or the LPDDR5 memory.
Moreover, according to some rumors, Samsung will offer a camera setup with a 108 MP main sensor, together with a 5x zoom unit. Some other leaks showed that the camera app of the S11 will have some brand new features, such as Director’s View, 8K video capture, and Night Hyperlapse. We should get a display of 6.7-inches, with narrower bezels. It might cost more than $899 – that’s £799.
When is the release date?
From what we have seen so far, the company usually releases its phones in yearly cycles, so we are expecting to see the Samsung Galaxy S11 be released in February or March next year.
But again, these are all just rumors, and they need to be taken with a pinch of salt.
