If you’ve come to a point in life when you think that tablets can become very useful, then you’re lucky. We think the same way, too! Regardless of how much you’re in a love relationship with your phone, or how much you trust your laptop, a powerful tablet can prove its usage at school, workplace, or for various businesses and presentations.
However, choosing the right tablet for you can cause a lot of headaches with so many models on the market. Aspects like price, screen size, storage space, processor, or battery life can all be decisive when choosing the right gadget for you. That’s why we’re proposing today two powerful tablets – Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 and Apple iPad Pro 11 (2018) – as we’ll carefully decide which one is more worth purchasing.
Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5
This tablet was released in August 2018, and its main highlight is the huge non-removable Li-Po 7300 mAh battery. It’s also capable of fast charging, and it should normally assure the user two days until the next charge, in the case of moderate usage. The display is of IPS LCD type, with 10.5 inches for its size. The resolution is only 1200 x 1920 pixels.
Tab A 10.5 packs only single cameras, one on the rear of 8 MP and another one in the front of 5 MP. Both cameras are also capable of video recording in HD format. A Snapdragon 450 processor of 1.8 GHz powers the device that also has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage space.
If you’re willing to get your hands on a Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5, you’ll have to pull out of your wallet around 250 euros.
Apple iPad Pro 11 (2018)
Released in the same year as its competitor for today, the iPad Pro 11 (2018) from Apple has video recording in the 4K format and the 7812mAh battery as the highlights. The gadget packs an 11-inch display of IPS LCD type, with a resolution of 1668 x 2388 pixels. The glass also has protection against scratching.
Apple’s tablet runs on iOS 12 for the operating system, and it’s powered by an Apple A12X Bionic chipset. Being in versions with 4GB and 6GB of RAM, the tablet comes in even more versions of storage space: 64GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB (1024GB). The cameras are also superior to those of the Galaxy Tab A 10.5 tablet, and not only because of the video recording part. Apple’s device has a 12 MP main camera and a 7 MP for the front snapper.
Apple iPad Pro 11 (2018) is also much more expensive than Samsung’s device: it costs around 800 euros.
It’s obvious that iPad Pro 11 (2018) from Apple is better in all hardware areas than Samsung’s Galaxy Tab A 10.5 – more megapixels for camera, better recording, more RAM memory, more storage space, bigger display, and more. If you’re aiming for the better tablet in terms of sheer quality, then you should choose Apple’s tablet without hesitation. But this iPad is also a lot more expensive than its competitor. Therefore, if you can be satisfied with lower hardware capabilities, but also with a tablet that can be suitable for your needs, you should go for Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5.
Choosing the right tablet doesn’t necessarily have to be made by the better hardware specifications of the product. Samsung’s tablet can also do basic things a normal tablet can do: make some decent photos, record video, write and send emails, create documents, play videos, and so on. Apple iPad Pro 11 is better, but Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 is cheaper. The choice is ultimately all yours.
