Samsung has recorded a lot of success over the past few months. Now they just started rolling out the Android 10 update to some of its smartphones and tablets.
The Launch
Finally, the company decided to release the Android 10 update for the Galaxy Tab S4, and they introduced the latest version of the operating system for the LTE version of the Galaxy Tab S5e.
The new update has started rolling out to the UK Galaxy Tab S5e models. The new update introduces firmware version T725XXU1BTF7. It’s sized at 2061.83MB, and it brings the June 2020 security patch with it, as well as One UI v2.1.
What’s New?
The new update introduced Quick Share, Music Share, the new, improved Dark Mode, better transitions and animations, Google’s full-screen UI quick navigation gestures, and the updated color schemes and icons.
If you own a Galaxy Tab S5e in the UK, you should have already received the update notification.
If you haven’t received it yet, you can manually check for new Android updates.
To do that, go to Settings -> Software update -> Download And Install.
However, if you don’t want to wait for the OTA update, you can download the firmware file from a safe website and install it manually.
Is It Useful?
It’s crucial to keep your device updated. Though you might have heard of the concept of planned obsolescence (which is mostly a myth), there are various reasons why you should install the latest operating system updates.
First of all, if you don’t install new updates, you usually miss out on new features and precious safety patches. Having your operating system too many generations behind puts your device at risk of getting hijacked by hackers or prone to malware that would have been otherwise combatted with the help of an update.
