Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e vs. Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 – Which Tablet is Better?

With mobile devices usage increasing tremendously over the recent years, it doesn’t apply only for smartphones. Tablets can also be very useful, whether you can connect a physical keyboard on them or not. Whether tablets are used for school, work, or business purposes, they can easily find their utility in society.

Samsung doesn’t need any kind of presentation anymore, but some people don’t know that the South Korean giant can also bring some powerful tablets on the market.  Galaxy Tab S5e and Tab S4 are two of those tablets, and we will be comparing them to conclude which one is better.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e

This tablet packs a 10.5-inch Super AMOLED 2560 x 1600 display, meaning that it offers sharp details and even excellent visibility while the sun is proving its might on the sky. The device should do a pretty good job for gaming since it has an octa-core Snapdragon 670 chip (10nm) and two versions of RAM: 6GB and 4GB. There are also two versions of storage available: 64GB and 128GB.

There are also some decent camera features for the Tab S5e tablet. There’s a 13MP camera on the rear, and an 8 MP camera in the front. But the most interesting aspects about the tablet is that it uses a fingerprint scanner mounted on the side and that it runs an Android 9 Pie.

The Galaxy Tab S5e is cannot be considered expensive at all, considering its impressive capabilities. It costs $400 for the 64GB of storage, and $470 for the much bigger storage amount of 128GB. The device can be bought from Samsung, Best Buy, Amazon and other retailers.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S4

This tablet has a totally different design than its competitor, although it’s equipped with the same 16:10 ratio and 10.5-inch display. The Tab S4 tablet is powered by the octa-core Snapdragon 835 SoC, which works alongside 4GB of RAM. As for storage, there are 64GB of onboard space. If it’s not enough for you, you can expand the storage by using a microSD card slot.

The cameras are pretty much the same as those from Tab S5e: a 13 MP rear camera and an 8 MP for the front snapper. Even the display size is the same as the other tablet: 2560 x 1600 Super AMOLED.

One highlight of Tab S4 is the powerful 7,500 mAh battery. This should be able to ensure the user two days of usage without charging the device and if he’s using it moderately. The USB C charging port and 18W fast charging makes the user to charge the device in no time. Also, buying the Tab S4 tablet will also make you the owner of Samsung’s S Pen stylus.

You’ll have to spend a bit more for this tablet than in the case of its competitor for today. Tab S4 with a Wi-Fi connection sells for $649.99 via Amazon, Best Buy, and the Samsung Store.

The conclusion

It’s pretty hard to give a conclusion while having two gadgets with so many similarities. Our bet is on Tab S4 tablet to win the big prize mostly because of its Snapdragon 830 processor. Furthermore, this device can also be used as a laptop due to the keyboard cover that Samsung offers. Regardless of how many physical buttons become obsolete, there will always be people preferring them to the detriment of the touchscreen. And it’s completely understandable!

However, owning either Tab S5e or Tab S4 from Samsung is a great choice, and the final decision is all yours if you plan on buying one of the tablets. Choose wisely and responsibly!
