The Galaxy Fold hit the market a month ago. However, at Samsung’s 2019 developers conference, the company released a teaser for its next foldable phone. Samsung did not talk about its specs, price, or release date. We believe that this foldable phone will have a different design than the Galaxy Fold. It won’t open like a book, but lengthwise, just like the same ol’ flip phone, but with a display that’s flexible.
It’s all about portability with this phone
The next foldable phone from Samsung will also be smaller than the Galaxy Fold. Based on what we’ve seen so far, Samsung might want to focus on portability, and not use the biggest screen they can get. This new phone might also come with a hole-punch selfie camera on the flexible display, which might be a first on the market.
Will it be dust and water-resistant?
There are still many questions to be asked and answered. From what material would the display be made? Plastic? Glass? Can they use glass for a foldable phone, as it was previously mentioned? Will the company makes it water and dust resistant? Galaxy Fold does not have these features.
Is this Galaxy Fold 2 we’re talking about?
We sure hope that the phone will cost less than £1,900, which is the price of Galaxy Fold.
We know for sure that the phone will be part of the foldable phone category from Samsung, but we cannot name it Galaxy Fold 2 just yet. The tech giant has talked about its plans of making a wide range of foldable devices with many various designs so that this particular design could be the first device from a brand new line.
