Social Distancing Doesn’t Mean You Can’t Have Fun At Home

Most introverts would be able to write long novels on how staying at home can be fun, so let’s take a few hints from them in these times of social distancing. It doesn’t have to be boring or depressing, remember that your home is where you get to sit comfortably while those in the first line must fight for us. Without further ado, here are a few fun things to do at home alone or with those you self-isolate.

The Movie Marathon

Choose your favorite movies or TV series and go for a marathon! Whether you’re a Lord of the Rings fan or prefer to watch Friends again and again, it’s safe to say there are plenty of movies out there to keep you busy and entertained for a long time!

Do Some Workouts

We know some physical exercise doesn’t really put a smile on your face, but it’s proved to lighten the mood. You can get totally ripped at home, just going through regular and daily workout sessions. By the end of the self-isolation period, you’ll look like Thor – not the beer belly version of Thor.

Alternatively, you could do some Zumba since most workouts are fun and it feels like you’re at a dance party.

Watch a Sports Game

If you’re a sports fan, you can watch a game on TV. There are plenty of TV channels that offer live or old games. You can also watch them online.

And since we’re on the sports topic, for those that wished to place some soccer bets but don’t want to go outdoors, they can always do it online.

If you follow the link above, you’ll see that there are more choices than placing a soccer bet. You may have better soccer betting odds these days as well since you have a lot of time on your hands to do some research and watch more games.

The platform offers a large variety of sports – from soccer bets to tennis, boxing, snooker, MMA and even Motorsport. There is also a variety of leagues and bet types. But most importantly, everything can be done online.

Or you could try a different kind of sport…

Gaming Is Fun

We all know about Esports, and if you like playing video games, reserve a couple of hours for some of your favorite games. Choose an online game genre – a shooter, an MMORPG or MOBA to communicate with others through Voice apps – you’ll feel less lonelier and make friends! Maybe you’ll even become a professional gamer.

Video-Call Friends and Family

Instead of texting or calling friends or family, you could video-call them and hang out for a while with them. It will be that extra connection we all need these moments.

You can even call them and play games during the video conference, or sing along in a karaoke contest.

Build a Fort or Play Board Games

If you’re at home with your kids, by all means go a bit crazy and build a fort. Playing around will certainly help you pass the time and the kids will love every single moment of it. Play a board game with your family and make sure they include rewards – the winner won’t have to do chores for a day or two.

Be Creative and Learn New Things

If you want to develop your creative side, learn to draw on paper or on your PC. Try a coloring app or learn how to write a book. Read a book or watch a documentary. Take it up a notch and learn how to bake cookies, for instance. And if you’re feeling a bit adventurous, why not start a YouTube channel?

You can do this on your own, or with your family.

Organize Your House

If you love cleaning and you’ve already washed everything around you, start cleaning out your closets, clean all your shoes, fix or organize those things that you’ve always been avoiding.

Spending time at home doesn’t have to be boring when there are so many activities you can try out. They will surely take your mind off the things happening outside.
