Do you play Subway Surfers? Of course, you do, it’s a fantastic game!
It has been one of the most popular games on Google Play and Apple AppStore for years now.
However, some users reported that the game occasionally lags, which severely impacts performance and gameplay experience.
Why Is It Lagging?
If your device lags when you play Subway Surfers, it is possibly because it lacks the necessary resources to run it.
To solve that, you can try closing all the apps running in the background or restarting your phone by turning it off and on again.
Android
To close apps on Android, tap the button to the bottom right on your front screen (for some smartphones it is the left button), and swipe all open apps to the side.
Also, Android smartphones can get sensitive when it comes to cache memory.
To clear the cache, follow these steps:
- Go to device Settings.
- Tap Apps or App Manager.
- Locate Subway Surfers and open it.
- Go to Storage -> Clear Cache.
iOS
Closing apps on iOS is a bit simpler than on Android.
To close apps on iOS devices, double-tap the home button (or swipe up if you have a newer generation model) and then swipe up any open app.
Though that solution might seem trivial at first, there is a reason why it works so many times. Apps need processing power and memory to run correctly. When you have an older device or run many apps in the background, resources are minimal, which is why the game has to do with what it has. However, in some cases, it can’t overcome those issues, and it lags. The severity of the lag heavily depends on the number of resources your device has.
