Super Nintendo World is going to be the first theme park dedicated only to the iconic video game makers. And apparently, it will be opened in 2020. The Mario Theme Park will be opened before the Tokyo Olimpic Games. We are not sure about the situation now, with the new coronavirus outbreak happening, but we come with great news.
According to the Twitter account @themeparX – the one that brings us updates about parks all over the world – the Super Nintendo World is almost complete.
There a picture on the internet, showing the park from above, and it seems that it is, indeed, almost done.
The CEO of Universal Parks and Resorts, Tom Williams, has talked about what the visitors will see when they come to the Super Nintendo World Park. Williams stated that there would be two rides at Super Nintendo World in Osaka: a Mario Kart ride and Yoshi’s Adventures attraction. He also stated that there would be an interactive element to the park. The visitors will get a red magnetic bracelet, with Mario’s iconic M logo on it, which will be used to interact with the environment while in the park. People will also be able to keep tabs on the scores which they gained through interactions and on rides.
Williams said that Super Nintendo World would be built across three levels. Our inner child is screaming, and we are that happy. And the best part is that not only the gamers Land of the Rising Sun will get to experience this childhood dream came true.
The makers of the games also want to open Super Nintendo Worlds in the West too, which means that Nintendo will have to be present at Universal Orlando and Universal Studios Hollywood, as well.
