Some time ago, it was announced that Rocket League will be free to play during the summer. We come with great news for you today.
The free-to-play arrival on the Epic Game store will happen soon, and to celebrate it, there will be a Rocket League x Fortnite crossover event. Here is all we know so far.
So we are going to get a crossover between a battle royale and a football with cars. In case you did not know, there is also another surprise coming our way: Season 1 with a new Rocket Pass and cosmetics. You can use cross–progression in order to get all of the XP and inventory on Epic Games.
When will the event start?
The event will happen on the 23rd of September – that is when it will become free to play. You do not need to pay for it. You can just wait a few days and then play it and see how it goes. But if you have been playing rocket league for some time now, there are a lot of rewards and benefits that you will receive – just because you played it before it became free.
What are the rewards?
We stated above that there will be a crossover between Rocket League and Fortnite. The event will come with rewards: cosmetics. The creators have not announced what the rewards would be yet, but they will surely be available in both Fortnite and in Rocket League. We are still waiting for an official statement about the rewards from the games.
