Juho Sarvikas, the HMD Global’s Chief of Product Officer, has just updated the list of Nokia mobile phones that are going to receive the latest version of Android. The representative of the company has also released a timeline of the operating system updates for its smartphones on his Twitter page.
Some of the Nokia phones have already gotten the Android 10 updates, as the tech giant is one of the first brands to roll out the latest Android operating system on its mobile devices. As per the latest update, the Nokia 2.2 is scheduled to receive the Android 10 OS update in the first four months of this year, a period also known as Q1, or the first quarter of the year.
Other devices, such as the Nokia 2.3, Nokia 3.2, Nokia 4.2, Nokia 7.2, Nokia 6.2, Nokia 3.1 Plus, and the Nokia 8 Sirocco are set to get the new update sometime between the first and the second quarter of 2020.
Despite the Delay, HMD Global is Consistent
According to the new release schedule, the update timeframe for these devices has changed, as it seems to be pushed from early Q1 to late Q2 of this year.
While we have taken all the steps to fight COVID-19, we still aim to be the fastest brand to update its portfolio to Android 10. Although our schedule changed a bit, we’re proud to announce a number of phones will be upgraded soon and excited to share our new roadmap: pic.twitter.com/nKEYSkI8Ow

In the mid-Q2 of this year, other Nokia mobile phones, including the Nokia 5.1 Plus and the Nokia 1 Plus, will reportedly receive the Android 10 update as well. Moreover, the Nokia 2.1, Nokia 3.1, Nokia 5.1, and the Nokia 1 will also get the latest operating system.
However, in spite of the apparent update delay, the Finnish tech giant HMD Global is still committed to rolling out the Android 10 operating system for all its compatible mobile devices by the second quarter of this year. The company is also getting ready at the moment to launch a new series of mobile phones running Android 10 in the box at its upcoming March 19 event that will take place in London, Great Britain.
