The Sims 4 will receive yet another DLC, but it is the first time a popular franchise game gets a Star Wars-themed update!
About The Update
Star Wars: Journey to Batuu is the DLC title, and it will be released on September 9 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
The new update will let players live their Star Wars fantasy on a new planet, which looks like the Galaxy’s Edge land from Disneyland Resort.
Sims will take upon missions for either the Resistance or First Order and increase their reputation, gain access to new artifacts, cosmetics, and craft a unique lightsaber.
Players will have access to fan-favorite characters like Rey and Kylo Ren. The two characters represent the two factions players choose to join once on Batuu.
The reveal trailer shows a glimpse of all the new actions that can be performed in-game and decorative items that players can use to shape their dream homes to their liking.
Also, the DLC will feature popular locations like the Millennium Falcon and Oga’s Cantina.

Executive Producer Lyndsay Pearson stated in a press release:
“We’re such big Star Wars fans, and set out to create an authentic and immersive Star Wars experience for players that also embodies the self-expression and deep storytelling possibilities with The Sims.”
“Our fans are always looking for new ways to immerse themselves into the Star Wars galaxy, and we hope The Sims will provide that in an unexpectedly new and exciting way, where they’ll influence the world of Batuu and find their destiny in the galaxy as they see fit,” added Vice President of Lucasfilm Games, Douglas Reilly.
