Developers of The Sims 4 have launched a campaign that asks players to create new themes and outfits for the various characters in the popular game, as part of the Laundry Day Stuff Pack DLC.
Numerous gamers have created 92 different sets under the arts & crafts theme, and knitted clothes were the favorite motif. Maxis requested players to vote for the 15 most beautiful outfits, and this has ended up being incredibly exciting for the fans of the game.
A Game Within the Game
Now, this campaign has been leveled up with several modders exceeding Maxis’ choices and started putting the outfits on the game’s characters, which were not in the top-15. All the other players fully engaged with the new ideas.
The great thing about RPG games like The Sims 4 is that there are characters of various age groups and races in the community. This provides modders with the chance to try out different alternatives. For instance, Jim Bob and his wife Jemma are now dressed in these creative costumes developed by the modders in the knitwear theme.
There are also children in The Sims 4, and they have also been outfitted in colorful costumes as the modders could not afford to miss this opportunity either. This year’s Laundry Day Stuff Pack downloadable content has definitely been one of the most exciting bundles for players.
A dedicated page called the Missed Opportunities Page has also been designed and has more costumes created by the modders. These new outfits are also included in the DLC, and players can download and use then as well.
This whole campaign has led to a circumstance where before even Maxis can organize and indicate the 15 top-voted costumes, the modders and players have been able to dress their characters in all 92 outfits.
