We are eager to learn more about The Sims 5, but it looks like EA has other plans for us – They just introduced a new update for The Sims 4!
The new update is The Sims 4’s 10th expansion pack (because that is how EA chose to name its DLCs), after the likes of Eco Living, Discover University, and Island Living.
Snowy Escape takes players away to a new corner of the game’s world for themed gameplay adventures, this time featuring access to the “majestic and serene” vacation resort of Mt. Komorebi.
The Japanese-inspired location includes an onsen bathhouse, bamboo forest views, and pleasant hiking locations with gorgeous mountain views.
There are many new actions players can partake in, like skiing, snowboarding, sledding, and rock climbing.
This is the first expansion to include rental and residential lots, which means that Sims can either visit for a quick getaway or settle down forever if they chose to do so.
Snowy Escape introduces 130 new Create a Sim clothing items. The new things are partly focused on winter wear and modern and traditional Japanese fashion.
There are also traditional and modern furniture options, plus a series of architectural elements, including shoji doors, windows and screens, tatami mats, and paper lanterns. According to EA, we should expect koi for decorative fountains, rock gardens, and Japanese maple trees.
Snowy Escape also features a new Lifestyles and Sentiments feature, meant to imbue Sims with enhanced personalities.
This is what EA said:
“Up to 16 Lifestyles will manifest in response to a Sim’s actions and habits […] changing their behaviours significantly more than Create a Sim traits as they reflect a Sim’s lived experiences.”
