The world of instant messaging and video calling apps surely doesn’t end with WhatsApp and Skype. Viber is a great alternative, as it features fast, free, and ‘most secure’ messaging and calling functions. The 1 billion people across the world that are using Viber can surely confirm how great the app is.
Update 13.8.1.0 for the Viber app is up for grabs, and it brings a set of improvements.
Control who can add you to groups
Surely nobody likes to be added to a certain group independently of his or her will. Viber fixes that along with the 13.8.1.10 update, as users can now decide who can add them to groups. For doing so, all the users have to do is to go to ‘More’, than select ‘Settings’, and ultimately hit the ‘Privacy’ section.
With the new update for Viber, users can now also create their own GIF. The process is simple: they can record a short video in any chat with the new camera app or simply choose a video from the gallery. The next step is turning the file into a GIF with the new functionality.
There’s also a new system of sorting media by type in each chat from the new media gallery. Users will even get rid of the clutter this way.
The Play Store description of Viber is crystal clear:
“Viber is completely free. All you need is a data plan or Wi-Fi connection and you’re good to go. Make free international calls, send text messages, open a group chat, and so much more! Download Viber today to connect with people, no matter who they are, or where they are from.”
In order to get your hands on the new 13.8.1.0 update for Viber, all you have to do is either head for manually downloading the APK version or wait for the relevant notification to appear on your phone’s display and invite you to update the app.
