Ever since the game was deleted from the App Store, people have been going nuts looking for ways to play Fortnite on iPhone. It is one of the most popular gaming apps out there. So some people thought they could make some money. Some users may be willing to pay thousands of dollars for an iOS device with Fortnite installed. This is also what eBay hopes to happen.
Apple removed Fortnite from the App Store because of a legal dispute with Epic Games. The feud included some tough words from both sides. Unfortunately, iOS users cannot download and install Fortnite anymore on their devices. So some people started to take advantage of this situation. They’re trying to make some money—a lot of money – thousands, even.
Fortnite on iPhone: where to find one plus the cost
Going on eBay, we find “iPhone Fortnite” or “Fortnite on iPhone” in thousands of results – from fair prices to $10,000. The highest price of a device with this game installed on it is $40,000. That’s a bit far-fetched, don’t you think? Considering the game was free to install, that’s just nonsense.
Until Epic Games and Apple solve their problems, users cannot update the game. That remains true even if it’s already downloaded on a device. This means those users who pay exhorbitant amounts to get an iphone with Fortnite pre-installed will still be left with an outdated version of the game. This will prevent them from getting the entire experience of the game.
Fortnite can still be downloaded on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC, and it’s still free. You can also download it to your Android device through the Epic Games Store. It doesn’t matter if it has been removed from the Google Play Store.
