WhatsApp Introduces Changes To Video Calls

In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, lockdowns have been introduced in many places across the world, forcing people to remain inside their homes and closing many popular places, including bars, restaurants, and coffee shops. WhatsApp remains the best way to stay in touch.

Many people continue to rely on messaging apps to stay in touch with their family and friends, with WhatsApp being one of the most popular choices thanks to a rich assortment of handy features. Anyone can download the app and create an account for free in a few minutes.

One of the best traits of WhatsApp is represented by the fact that it easy to use even if you aren’t a tech-savvy user. The interface clean and are the options are accessible without the need to watch tutorials even if you want to change advanced settings.

WhatsApp changes the video calls’ features

Video chat is an essential feature for many WhatsApp users, especially groups of friends or workers who need to hold a meeting. The latest update has introduced the ability to initiate a group video call almost instantly, as all that you need to do is to go to the target group and tap on the Call option within the group chat.

Tap on the option and then select members of the group which are invited to join the chat. This is a great change since the past you had to start a video call and then add each individual participant while the others waited. Now everyone has the option to join at the same time since they will receive the call notification simultaneously.

The new option is quite convenient, but it important to keep in mind the fact that only four people can participate in a group video call at any time, which is quite low in comparison to other messaging apps. Maybe WhatsApp will add the ability to add more people in the future, but only time will tell.
