PS5 users cannot wait for Sony to reveal the new date for the next-gen showcase, which has been delayed. The official reveal event was supposed to take place on the 4th of June. However, they decided to delay the event because of the situation, which escalated quickly after the death of George Floyd. Sony stated: “While we understand gamers worldwide are excited to see PS5 games, we do not feel that right now is a time for celebration, and for now, we want to stand back and allow more important voices to be heard.”
We must confess, we were scared that event would be canceled. However, Sony posted a new update on its YouTube channel. According to the description of the event video, the company will get back to us with another release date soon. They stated that the event has been postponed and that they will keep in touch with us on the new date soon.
When it airs, the showcase will last for about an hour, and rumor has it, they will talk about new releases such as Horizon Zero Dawn 2 and Demon’s Souls Remastered. There are also some confirmed games, such as Assassin’s Creed Vahalla, Godfall, and Lord of the Rings: Gollum. They might show those to us, too.
A recent post from Sony says: “We’ve shared technical specifications and shown you the new DualSense wireless controller. But what is a launch without games? That’s why I’m excited to share that we will soon give you a first look at the games you’ll be playing after PlayStation 5 launches this holiday.”
They also said that the games coming to PS5 will represent the best when it comes to this industry. All of the studios, be them large or small, have been all working on developing the games that will show the potential of the hardware.
