- Summary
In the first episode, we meet Leonard and Sheldon, who live together, and whose world revolves around science and physics. They are both socially awkward and have a hard time socializing with everyone around them – especially girls. So the luck is that a beautiful young woman – Penny – moves across the hall. Leonard is attracted to her, and when he gets his courage to finally ask her out, he learns that she’s already dating someone. Sheldon, Leonard’s best friend, has the habit of showing that he’s the better one, so he hurts the ego of his boss, and he gets fired. We also meet Raj, who is not able to speak to women – until he sees that he is, in fact, able to do so but only after a few drinks. At the end of the season, we see Penny and Sheldon going out on a date.

- Summary
At the beginning of this season, we see Leonard and Penny encountering some troubles as they are both trying to meet someone else.l However, both of them feel jealous to see each other dating other people, and the fact that Sheldon’s friendship with Penny becomes even more stronger bothers Leonard even more. Howard, as we know him, is still a player, and he keeps dating a lot of girls until he enters a relationship with Leslie. However, their relationship is rather a stronger friendship and not a romantic relationship.
We get to see more of Sheldon’s obsessive nature, and Penny is trying to help him out. Raj does something unfortunate, and he has to apologize to Penny for the way he behaved. At the end of the season, we see how Penny shares her feelings to Leonard. We also get to meet the new character Barry Kripke.

- Summary
Penny and Leonard finally get together for the very first time after he returned home from the research he conducted at the North Pole. At the same time, there’s a little bit of awkwardness between them. Sheldon is trying to help Raj to stay in India by asking him to work for him. The friendship between Penny and Sheldon grows a little bit more as they help each other to learn new things. For example, Sheldon teaches Penny about physics, and Penny teaches Sheldon about baking cookies. Sheldon is also the rational voice between Penny and Leonard. Sheldon teaches Leonard about football in order to impress Penny’s friends.
Barry Kripke becomes Sheldon’s enemy, and he wants to get revenge. At the same time, Bernadette gets invited to watch Leonard’s experiment as she shows an interest in physics, thing that makes Howard jealous. Penny asks Sheldon to teach her about physics in order to understand Leonard’s work.
We also get to see Leonard’s mother giving him a surprise visit, which seems to be a bother for her son and for Penny, but an excellent visit for Sheldon. We also see Will Wheaton appearing as being Sheldon’s enemy. Leonard says “I love you” to Penny, but he doesn’t get the response that he wanted to from her, so they broke up. In order not to upset his friend, Sheldon keeps a secret the fact that he had a friendly dinner with Penny after they broke up. Penny gets to a definite conclusion that she cannot date normal guys after dating Leonard, so she ends up sleeping with him again.

They also host the Thanksgiving dinner for the entire group, and that’s when Howard tells everyone that he’s going to space.

It’s Amy’s birthday, and Bernadette gave birth. Sheldon and Amy have yet another fight. Sheldon also gets in a fight with Leonard because of the invention. Penny believes that Leonard is taking Sheldon for granted, so she starts to spend more time with Amy. Raj’s father does not help him with money anymore, and he moves to Sheldon’s old room after Penny and Leonard offer him the chance.
Stuart moves in again with Howard and Bernadette. She finds it hard to leave her baby in daycare. Because they moved in together, Sheldon and Amy grow stronger. But when someone from the past makes its appearance, they encounter troubles. Leonard and Penny have a second wedding, and they start to get used to living together as a husband and wife.
Raj reunites with his ex-girlfriends, and Amy gets a fellowship at Princetown. The group is worried about Ramona Nowitzki, Sheldon’s former admirer, while Amy is away.

Raj finds it difficult to find the perfect wedding date. Sheldon and Amy’s families arrive for their wedding, and everyone tries to make it perfect for them.

- Summary
The final season shows Sheldon and Amy going to their honeymoon to New York City. Leonard and Penny choose a very weird wedding present to give to them. Meanwhile, Raj asks his father to find a wife for him. Sheldon asks Penny to work with him on a research paper about Super-Asymmetry. Stuart bothers Howard and Bernadette with his behavior when he brings his new girlfriend home.
Eventually, Raj gets engaged to Anu. Howard and Raj are still not on speaking terms. Bernadette finds it hard to handle her kids.
Zack, one of Penny’s ex-boyfriends, asks Leonard for a weird favor – he asks for a sperm donation because Zack’s wife wants a baby. However, Leonard does not agree with that.
Leonard gets excluded from the scientific project, while Sheldon, Amy, and Penny continue to work on it. Bernadette wants to write a children’s book about Howard going in Space.
The series ends with Penny being pregnant and Sheldon and Amy winning the Nobel Prize.
