He stated that the announcement will be about a game company that everyone loves, and then he confirmed that he talked about SEGA. There were a lot of rumors about what the event could be about. People started thinking about Microsoft acquiring SEGA. Some others talked about a possible deal between Microsoft and SEGA – perhaps Xbox series X distributed under the SEGA name in Japan?
We would actually be delighted if either of these two things happened. This might actually be the first time this name has appeared on a console since the Dreamcast happened. If we get the next Xbox distributed under the SEGA banner, it might actually help Microsoft be on top in the Japanese market – since we all know that it struggles to sell its product there.
The SEGA announcement is being teased from around the time the company celebrated its 60th anniversary. And it seems that in a celebratory atmosphere, the video game company will make an appearance and an online game fest.
Apparently, the announcement shows that they will make an appearance during the Guerrilla Collective digital games fest. This one will happen between the 6th of June and the 8th of June, and we cannot wait to see what they will show us there!
